Now Hiring Certified Reach Truck Operators! PRT Staffing is hiring skilled Reach Truck Operators to support a leading cold storage warehouse operation in Baytown, TX. This is a 3rd shift opportunity with consistent hours, strong leadership onsite, and the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
What You’ll Be Doing • Operate reach trucks to move, load, and store product safely • Pick, stage, and organize orders for shipment • Work in receiving, selecting, and picking functions (cross-training required) • Verify product accuracy, labels, and quantities • Follow all safety procedures and operating standards • Report any safety concerns or near-miss incidents proactively • Support overall warehouse operations as needed
Work Environment • Cold storage facility with multiple temperature zones: o Cooler (~30°F) o Freezer (~15°F) o Blast freeze (as low as -10°F) • PPE and freezer gear provided (must be worn at all times) • Fast-paced and performance-driven environment
What We’re Looking For Required: • Minimum 2 years of reach truck experience (recent and consistent) • Ability to safely operate equipment in a cold environment • Ability to lift and move product (up to 50 lbs regularly; heavier loads with equipment assistance) • Strong attention to safety and detail • Reliable transportation and strong attendance Preferred: • Experience in cold storage or food distribution warehouses • Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse systems • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
