Chemical Operator – Direct Hire Join a growing, employee-owned organization that values dedication, physical strength, and a strong mindset. We’re hiring a Chemical Operator to support a dynamic manufacturing environment in Kansas City, KS. This is a direct hire opportunity with full benefits and growth potential. Annual Salary: $59,000 Location: Kansas City, KS 66106 Schedule:
12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Rotating schedule (every other weekend required)
Training will begin on Day Shift before moving to 2nd shift rotation
What You'll Do:
Operate automated chemical processing systems via computer-based monitoring & controls
Mix and batch materials: dump bags, buckets, and jugs of raw materials into processing systems
Monitor temperatures, pressures, and chemical reactions
Perform safe transfer and storage of hazardous chemicals
Wear a respirator and follow strict safety procedures at all times
Assist with order fulfillment: moving drums/jugs of finished product for shipping
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments (exposed to heat, cold, and weather conditions)
Ideal Candidate:
Comfortable working with computers and digital control systems
Strong physical fitness; able to lift, dump, and move heavy containers regularly
Resilient mindset and attention to safety in a fast-paced industrial environment
Able to wear PPE, including respirators, for long periods
Military veterans, firefighters, and other physically demanding backgrounds have excelled in this role!
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of manufacturing, chemical, or production experience preferred
Forklift experience a plus (but not required)
Willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts
Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork
