We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all concrete work meets the highest standards of quality and appearance, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to the finishing and curing of concrete surfaces.Responsibilities
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs, using a variety of hand and power tools.
Level, shape, and trowel concrete surfaces to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces, ensuring durability and strength.
Monitor the effects of weather and environmental conditions on the curing process, making adjustments as needed.
Repair and resurface existing concrete structures, as well as patching voids and defects in new concrete.
Set and align forms to ensure proper concrete placement and alignment according to project specifications.
Operate equipment such as screeds, trowels, and floats, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all tools and equipment.
Mix concrete by hand or with mechanical mixers to ensure consistency and quality.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements of concrete finishing work.
Requirements and Skills
Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing techniques.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in concrete finishing.
Physical stamina and strength to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and a focus on quality to ensure that all work meets project specifications and standards.
Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to construction and concrete work.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others on the job site.
High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred but not required
