Job Description for Construction Labor Construction laborers perform a variety of physical tasks at construction sites. These tasks include but are not limited to:
Preparing the site: Removing debris, digging (no trenching), backfilling, and compacting earth
Loading and unloading materials: Moving building materials and equipment to and from the site
Assisting other trades: Helping electricians, plumbers, and other craft workers
Cleaning up: Keeping the site clean and safe
Wear safety gear such as hard hats, gloves, face masks, ear protectors, and eyewear
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time
