Electrician – Instrument TechLocation: Kansas City, KS 66106 Salary Range: $56,160 – $62,400 annually Schedule: Full-Time PRT Staffing Is Hiring an Electrician – Instrument Technician PRT Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrician – Instrument Tech to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and instrumentation systems in an industrial environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely in demanding conditions. If you have a solid background in electronics, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance, this is a stable opportunity with competitive pay. What You’ll DoInstallation & Assembly
Install and assemble electronic equipment and systems
Build and install components using hand and power tools
Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine maintenance on electronic and instrumentation systems
Diagnose issues and repair or replace faulty components
Align and adjust system components as needed
Troubleshooting & Testing
Troubleshoot complex electronic and instrumentation problems
Use diagnostic tools to identify failures
Test equipment, calibrate sensors, and ensure systems meet quality standards
Documentation & Collaboration
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Maintain logs and records of maintenance and repairs
Document system changes and generate work reports
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other departments
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of electronic theory, components, and systems
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment
Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amp meters
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
Effective communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs
Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment
Work Environment
Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high places
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
Work in outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures
Risk of electrical shock and vibration
Noise level is typically loud
