Citrus Plant General Labor Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The juice plant general laborer supports daily production operations within the juice manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for handling materials, operating basic production equipment, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards and quality checks to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with processing of raw fruit materials for juice extraction.
Make sure all areas of the facility are clean and free from clutter or trash.
Operate basic machinery if necessary.
Handle the concentrate trucks when they come in.
Quality & Safety
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
Conduct basic quality checks such as visual inspections.
Report any quality concerns to supervisor.
Sanitation & Housekeeping
Clean work areas, equipment, floors, and drains as required.
Assist in regular sanitation cycles, including breakdown and cleaning of machinery.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods (8-12 hour shifts)
Work in various environments including cold rooms, wet areas, or around machinery.
Ability to bend, reach, clinb, and perform repetitive motions.
