SHIFT: 2pm-1030pmSUMMARY: The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing and mechanical layouts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: o 3-5 years of commercial HVAC service experience o Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: o Troubleshoots, repairs, and overhauls equipment such as air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air dryers, heat exchangers, other environmental changing devices, other mechanical equipment or electrical pneumatic and electronic components. o Installs, maintains, or repairs pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, ventilation, and air distribution equipment. o Installs and replaces all types of pumps or refrigeration equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams, or other instructions. o Basic electrical knowledge and trouble shooting principles. o Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment. o Proficient in the use of refrigerant recycling/recovery equipment, power tools, multi-meter, soldering/brazing equipment, pipe threading machines, and tube cleaning equipment. o Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. o Follow oral and written instructions. o Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
