Inventory Control Specialist (Finance-Focused)
Location: Jessup, MD
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

PRT Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse inventory accuracy and reporting in a fast-paced distribution environment. This is a finance-focused role requiring strong Excel skills, data accuracy, and experience working across multiple warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits
• Conduct full warehouse cycle counts across pick and reserve locations
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and product integrity issues
• Monitor FIFO (First-In, First-Out) processes to ensure proper product rotation
• Review inventory reports and analyze causes of shrinkage or variances
• Verify reserve pallet counts and ensure proper inventory placement
• Audit receiving, put-away, and transfer processes across shifts
• Initiate and document transfers between cooler and freezer environments
• Perform quality checks on slow-moving, obsolete, or date-sensitive products
• Coordinate will-call orders and assist as Will-Call Clerk when scheduled
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills required
• Ability to work in Dry, Cooler, and Freezer environments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Solid math skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
