Job Description

Quality Assurance Technician – $24/hr – Northwood, OH 43619Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Cold Environment | Temp-to-Hire
PRT Staffing is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Technician for a food production facility in Northwood, OH. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong QA experience who is dependable, punctual, and able to work until production is complete each day.
Pay & Schedule
  • Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Breaks:
    • 30-minute unpaid lunch
    • Two paid 15-minute breaks
  • Overtime: Up to 10 hours per week based on production needs
Interviews will be conducted in person.

✔ Punctual and reliable
✔ Ability to stay as needed until the job is donePreference for candidates with food industry QA experience, but open to QA backgrounds from other industries.
Work Environment
  • Cold warehouse/production area
  • Must dress appropriately for temperatures at or near refrigeration levels
  • Steel toe boots required from Day 1
Job ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include inspecting raw materials, in-process product, warehouse inventory, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
  • Perform multiple quality inspections on raw, in-progress, and finished products
  • Measure product attributes (weight, temperature, sizing, etc.)
  • Evaluate general appearance and grade product as needed
  • Record inspection results accurately on required logs
  • Determine product non-conformance and communicate findings to department managers
  • Ensure correct product identification by size, origin, count, etc.
  • Notify order selectors when pulled product does not meet quality standards
  • Support compliance with food safety and customer specifications
  • Maintain safety and sanitation requirements
Preferred Experience
  • Food production QA
  • Knowledge of USDA/FSIS, HACCP, SSOPs (for meat facilities)
  • Understanding of product specifications and measurement tools
