Job Title: Tube Laser Operator Location: East Rochester, NY Job Type: Full-Time | Direct HireSchedule: 1st shift 6am - 2:30pmPay: $21-$27/hr. DOE We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in East Rochester, NY. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where your expertise will be valued, your voice will be heard, and your impact will be seen on the production floor every day. If you have experience with tube laser equipment and take pride in producing high-quality work, this is your chance to step into a stable, long-term role with real growth potential. What You’ll Do
Set up and operate tube laser machinery to meet production and quality standards
Download and manage part programs within the machine controller
Adjust machine settings to correct issues such as slag, burrs, or burn-through
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
Ensure all jobs meet internal and customer quality requirements
Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Troubleshoot basic machine errors and assist with more advanced issues as needed
Load raw materials and accurately record production data in Plex system
Help train and mentor new team members on equipment and procedures
Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED required
2–3 years of experience operating tube lasers or similar CNC equipment
Technical certificate or trade school training preferred
Strong understanding of fabrication processes and quality inspection methods
Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
Solid math and problem-solving skills
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and loud noise
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands for machine operation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently; team lift required for heavier items
